Nestling at the foot of the Hambleton Hills, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and surrounded by views across open countryside and the ruins of Byland Abbey, The Abbey Inn
is quite simply the very best that Yorkshire has to offer.
The Inn itself is steeped in history with evidence of a medieval hostelry under the foundations and the beautiful stonework was ‘borrowed’ from the ruins of Byland Abbey.
Once a 19th century farmhouse, the Inn has recently been lovingly refurbished and furnished to reflect its history and is now run by Melanie Drew and award winning chef David Robbins.
